About the Role:
Island Data Assurance Ltd. is recruiting a dedicated Data Protection and Privacy Officer to ensure the company’s operations comply with the Data Protection Act and GDPR requirements. The officer will lead privacy governance activities, oversee data audits, and promote best practices across departments.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop, maintain, and communicate privacy policies and compliance frameworks.

Conduct data mapping, DPIAs, and vendor risk assessments.

Manage data subject requests and incident reporting procedures.

Provide training and awareness sessions for staff on privacy obligations.

Collaborate with IT and legal teams to strengthen data security controls.
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Law, Information Security, or related discipline.

Recognised certification such as CIPP/E or CIPM.

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in data privacy or compliance.

Strong understanding of Caribbean privacy laws.
